Looking for Sugestions on an Eberron Game

Okay, I'm running a campaign in Eberron for the first time, and I'm looking for some advice. I have a general idea of what the plot is, but I'm putting this up here for CCing and sugestions from people who know the setting better than I do. First, the party: I have 3 PCs plus a DMPC to make a...

    A Question on Mapmaking

While I'm unsure where the best place to post this is, I'll default to here, because I'm more likely to find out whether or not I'm wrong. In any case, my question is this: How does one make maps, especially tactical and area maps (larger scale stuff not so much) in photoshop, or more to...

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

Alexandros? I've not heard from you in the mythweavers thread. You still here? We've shifted, by the looks of things.

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

If you theoretically used the flexible advancement talent, the benifits you get with hero points are less than what you would get by spending annother metaclass talent. You pay power for flexibility. Also, you have 6 talents in your base class, which hurts even more.

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

I don't mind flexible classes. I do mind the hero points, however. It didn't come up, so I didn't mention it. It's a pain to your poor GM. It also robs you of one class talent. If you really want to, you can, but write down everything so I can be certain that I follow it

It's not that much more work, really.

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

I try to reward good tactics. 2 snipers are lethal. Especialy if you have an MG and grenade launcher, pinning people down or forcing them to fall back while the guy with the shotgun sneaks up behind them.

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

Okay, I'm assuming all of you and everyone on Mythweavers definitely in, which makes 6 PCs, so I'm going to close recruitment for the time being, pending everyone's finished sheets and concepts. This is the first time I've GM'd for a balanced party too. I've gotten used to accommodating and...

It's in my above post, camoflaged by the bottom part of the thred.

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

Also, Alexandros seems to be correct. 3 levels of base would give 2, and 1 level in 2 advanced would give 2 (or 2 levels in one) Cool. I'll post to the mythweaver's thread, but it'd be easeir on my SAN score if we kept everything in one place in the future. For those of you on ENworld, the...

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

I've picked up at least two more potential players on my Mythweaver's thread. Hopelfully, they'll post here to introduce.

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

You can switch anything in flexible class creation (it's in pdf 2-2) If you want to redesign using them, that's okay, but you can switch your talent trees with anything as long as each class has only 3. Erin looks good at this point. The only thing I see is swim. It seems unlikely that someone...

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

OnlytheStrong: If you use the flexible class creation system, you can choose your prerequs and initial feats, among other things. Feel free to pick annother skill as a prerequ. Just have 6 ranks in it. Same with the feat. Armor proficiency (light) is a good choice. also, it is possible to...

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

Hmm. I hate the action point system myself--specificly the method for determining how many everyone has each level. As of now, everyone has 20 action points regardless of other stuff.

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

All: I'm still recruiting if anyone else is interested. If not, I'll roll up a DMPC and we can play a 3 person fireteam. OnlytheStrong: I see a few things: You have medium armor proficiency, but not light armor proficiency on your feat list. You also don't have an armor bonus to AC...

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

Changes noted, both of you. OnlytheStrong: Just to make a minor nuisance of myself :), your weapon would probably be a carbine--or PDW if it was on the smaller end. SMG technically refers to guns chambered for pistol amunition and the term probably would've fallen out of use along with...

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

I was talking about a 3rd player who wanted sniper (he may not even be playing). Multiple people who can infiltrate is good. I don't see you having a somewhat similar focus causing problems. Everyone: All soldiers in the 96th (standard kit changes rather a lot from OU to OU)are issued (at...

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

That fits quite well. Note that most Terran governments avoid imprisonment as a punishment--it's seen as very inneficient. Hard labor or mandatory resettlement to a fringe colony (often to begin a settlement from next to nothing) are the two favorite punishments. Both are probably worse than...

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

propper :) meaning the planet and not the sector (which is named for it's capitol world) 6'2 is slightly above average if that's what you're going for. All land on Amber is covered in city--it is slightly less dense version of Courasount (sp?) (Notably, the planet's algae covered oceans...

RECRUITING: The Battle for Threshold Orbital (houseruled d20 modern)

Just a note. If everyone is playing sneaky-ish, you'll wind up as the infiltration squad in the unit (or one of them). Alexandros: Crunchwise, you can't take multiple base classes, though you can take as many advanced classses as you want. In terms of overlap, just avoid sniping and you...
