Right. My group doesn't do anything that harsh. That is just cold and mean spirited. Like I said, it is more for just a little suspense and fun. They hardly ever receive more than 6 damage, which is almost equivalent to them stubbing their big toe.

I think that you would like DM1 better, especially starting out. DM1 has a lot more of the rules and basics. IMO, DM2 helps teach you how to wing things better and do more of a sandbox with your own campaigns.

I haven't done as much digging and reading about it as the rest of you. How can anybody know for sure when we don't know what it is exactly yet but wild rumors? People say that it is in addition/replacing/branch off of what we have currently. I will take a wait and see approach.
