10 level PrC and +1 caster level

If character has 10 levels in PrC that gives its own spellcasting ability (Assassin,...) and get another PrC that gives +1 caster level. Can character use that +1 caster level to boos his previous PrC caster level (thus making his Assassin caster level 11)?
Would the character gain any more spells per day for such caster level?

Alright, as I understand it, you could pick up another class that granted +1 level to arcane casting and stack it with assassin levels. If you'd already hit tenth level as an assassin, it would not increase your spells per day, but I believe you would continue to add two extra spells per level into your spellbook.

Yes, the character may increase his assassin caster level. Yes, he gains all of the associated benefits for doing so. The assassin's caster progression follows a pattern, so all you need to do is to continue the pattern in order to determine the benefits.

I think under the rules of the epic level handbook, you would have to be over 20 character level but then it would be as if you were an epic assassin for spellcasting purposes. I believe the number of spells you can cast ends at level 10 just as core spell casters end at 20 but caster level continues and the 2 new spells known per level would continue as well.

I'm not that familiar with ELH but that is what I remember from skimming it and discussions here.
