10 more creatures added to the CC

There is a reason some of those have lingered so long.

The CC database doesn't currently allow for the entering of deathless, and I haven't had enough time on the weekends to really tinker with it to try to make it work. The last time I messed with the CC code, it took nearly two weeks to get everything fully functional again.

True dragons are extremely time-consuming to enter, so I tend to pick other monsters for entry unless I know I have a lot of time to spare.

Others have lingered because I've awaited an opportunity to match them with a theme. We've gotten some positive feedback to the themed batches, so I tend to try to get 10 that are thematically linked.

The pseudo-undead are so old because we abandoned them for nearly a year because it was such a frustrating conversion! Until the False Keraptis came along, it definitely had the crown for "most annoying conversion". :p

I'll see if I can get some extra batches in this month to catch up a bit, though.

I'm a fan of the themes too, so I don't mind waiting for similar batches to be ready.

Yeah, the pseudo undead are only 14th on that list when ordered by date finished.

Yay! :D

I had no idea that the CC was so software intensive; it just looks like a standardized HTML form.

Imagine the gap in start vs end date for false K stuff. If you hadn't posted the mold wyrm already, I'd suggest doing a them just for RtWPM. But I suppose we have half a them anyway, especially considering all the sample creatures.

It's PHP based with a MySQL backend. Two things I've essentially had to teach myself to make the minor tweaks I've made so far (adding true dragons, fixing template display, etc.)

Nature calls
Ten more fey resist nature's lure and find their way into the Creature Catalogue.

Among the more benevolent fey are the seelie faeries and their Faerie Queen, the windborne sakina, the wood-dwelling faerie phiz, and the three jogah: the stone-throwing Ga-hon-ga, the agricultural enhancing Gan-da-yah, and the underworld guarding Oh-do-wa.

The darker side of nature is represented by the the fish-throwing adaro, the sinister gloomwing, and the legendary Great Wendigo.

Once we finish the swamp wyrm and Taumet, I'll post a dragon-themed batch to get some of the longest-waiting critters off the docket.

Out of this World
10 creatures from beyond the Material Plane invade the Creature Catalogue.

Hailing from the Concordant Domain of the Outlands come the grillig, gronk, and sohmien. The dimensional warper time shares here, when not on the Ethereal Plane.

The Elemental Planes give us the watery ondine and the earthen horde.

Deep in space we find the boldly-going spacesea giants and their savants. And on the legendary vessel Spelljammer lurk the not-quite-dead kasharin.

Finally, the spirits of the Abyss have given life to the great walkers known as the mara.

I caught a few errors.

The ondine is listed as an ooze; is that right?

Horde has Treasure: see text, but there isn't any mention in the text about treasure.

Ooze is wrong...should be outsider. Will fix.

I'll go back to the horde thread and see if we addressed treasure.

Thanks!
