10 more creatures added to the CC

(Not) The Last Unicorn
Ten more unicorns gallop into the Creature Catalogue! All ten of the horned equines originally appeared in Dragon Magazine #190.

The enchanting Alicorn, the sylvan Faerie Unicorn, colorful Pinto Unicorn, and the orderly Cunnequine are all good-aligned like their more common cousins.

The shapeshifting Zebracorn, unswervingly neutral Gray Unicorn, and the psychic Brown Unicorn all lean toward neutrality.

The fiery Bay Unicorn, shadowy Dark Unicorn, and chilling Palomino Unicorn stand in vile opposition to all that unicorns represent.

There's always room for Jell-O
Straight from the vats come 5 gelatin-based constructs. These creations, known collectively as Magen, include the charming Hypnos, stretchy Caldron, shocking Galvan, martial Demos, and transporting Scalos.

Rounding out this week's batch are 5 more golems, including the wallbound Tomb Wardens and Tombheart, the vigilant Vault Guardian, the crushing Wooden Press Golem, and the devastating Statue That Walks.

Leftovers
This week's batch includes a bunch of stray conversions we've done over the past two years.

First up are a pair of nonevil undead, the magical Avenging Spirit and the warriorlike Vartha. Both work well as deathless if you use those rules.

Next up are a pair of pachyderms, the Dwarf Elephant and the mighty Deinotherium.

The treasure-gobbling Lesser Well Spirit grows into a Greater Well Spirit once it consumes enough of the good stuff.

The Gu’armoru is an animated suit of armor, with a penchance for exploding when hit by spells.

The Sidhe is a playable fey race with an aversion to iron. As such, they make great druids!

Black Annis is a unique hag with a powerful magical cat companion.

Rounding out the batch is the Elghonn, a myserious, deadly killer of the Underdark armed with an arsenal of magic weapons.

Hybrids
10 mix-n'-match results of magical crossbreeding merge with the Creature Catalogue.

This week's group includes the obvious combinations of the Dragonfly Turtle and Spider-Horse. The Shadow Panther is a possible "missing link" between the wemic and displacer beast. The unisus blends the best traits of the unicorn and pegasus, while the monoceros is a stranger hodgepodge of unicorn, stag, rhino, and elephant.

The venom dogs blend dogs with poisonous creatures. The Viper Venom Dog is merged with a poisonous snake, while the Scorpion Venom Dog has traits of a monstrous scorpion. The moat cat mixes a cheetah or leopard with a newt.

Rounding out the batch are two cousins of the owlbear. The Arctic Owlbear fuses a snowy owl with a polar bear, while the Winged Owlbear joins a brown bear with a giant owl.

Under the Sea
10 aquatic creatures swim their way into the Creature Catalogue.

This week's batch includes several fish, the Giant Damselfish, which masquerades as a drowning woman, and the Giant Clownfish, which is immune to the venom and paralysis of the giant sea anemones in its territory.

Two electrically-charged creatures also make their debut. The Chont is a giant horseshoe crab, able to reflect mental attacks back upon the aggressor and release jolts of lightning, while the Electric Ray can deliver a lethal shock of its own.

The bulk of this group are cephalopods. The octopoid Octo-Jelly enfolds prey and bites, while the larger Octo-Hide can also breath a cone of extreme cold. The Sea Demon is a massive octopoid capable of creating a vortex to sink ships and drown sailors. The Giant Blue Ring Octopus is a benevolent, reclusive creature with humanoid intellect, and features a spellcasting variant, the Red Shaman. The Vampire Squid has been bred by the illithids into a deadly ball of fangs.

Rounding out the batch is the shapeshifting Sea Unicorn, capable of assuming the form of a unicorn, a hippocampus, and a dolphinlike shape.

Magically Beastly
Ten magical beasts from all corners of the Multiverse drop in to the Creature Catalogue.

From the Peaceable Kingdoms of Arcadia come the tentacled Arcadian Pony and the beloved Duruch’i-lin, including the female Ch'i-lin and its male counterpart, the Duru.

From the Wilderness of the Beastland come the swift, staglike Forchoreai.

From the pits of Gehenna come the ironhided Batfly, made all the more deadlier when it forms into a Batfly Swarm. The seventh level of the Nine Hells is home to the Maladomini Tiger, which blends the traits of several big cats with the native resistances of Baator.

Back on the Material Plane lurks the earth-shaking Jishin Mushi beetle, as well as the Hendar, a threat on air, land, and sea.
