1000 ways to be a D&D Snob

261. You insist that 3E is simpler to understand and faster than 1E in all circumstances.

262. You don't give XP for treasure in 1E.

263. You refuse to play anything but OD&D, because that's the only game where you can't powergame.

260. You understand how 1E surprise worked when a 5th level monk met a bugbear and a lone elf not in metal armour.

Hey, that one was easy. chance of being surprised plus chance of surprising minus 33.3%

In this case the monks chance of being surprised is 24%, the chance of the elf surprising was 66.6%. Total chance is 57%

And how many segments are you surprised? ;)

"Overly complicated" comes to mind there.

What's wrong with that? I'm a guy, afterall.

My dad has never bought a scrap of clothing in his life.

WOW! He must have a whole bunch of D&D books!

266. You've turned down a promotion/better paying job when doing so would interfere with "game night".

267. you either refused to read or insisted on correcting the inacuracies of the "slaad farming" thread.

268. as a dm you outlawed multiclassing without training.

269. you thought up a decent backstory for an oozemaster. :)

270. you have fixed all the classes to better fit your world's concept of their roles.

271. you think that anyone who plays a low charisma dwarven fighter is a munchkin.

272. Mention Thomas Pynchon, Jorge Luis Borges or Willam S. Burroughs as possible source material for a campaign setting.

273. Kill a thread by attempting to apply deconstructionist analysis to the previous poster and correctly quote Jaques Derrida in so doing.

Damn...I'm really embarassed that I killed a thread like that. I actually remember doing that.
