$1000 Where would you put yours?

Although I've got a bit of "oversupplementers anonymous" in me, I can't imagine needing $1000 to spend on gaming stuff.

What I'd do is invest in a gaming room, like buying a nice bookcase or three (now completely stocked with RPGs of all kinds), and then a really cool table, maybe custom designed (I was thinking maybe a wood one with a dragon engraved in the center). I'm probably out of money at this point, but to take it further, maybe a mini-fridge in the room, and a cupboard full of snacks, a sound system with a selection of gaming music CDs, some really comfy chairs, maybe have the room sound-proofed... I'm going to need a bigger budget here!

I agree that some people here are incapable of following directions. "If you had $1000 to spend on gaming products, what would they be?" "I'd donate it to charity.".
I would say, Paul, that we're just displaying our standard PC side! :D I mean, how often do PCs blatantly ignore the instructions they have been given and do something else instead? It might be called curiosity, but I think myself that a lot of PCs have a perverse streak in them! ;) As PCs run, so to do their players! :D

To answer the question:

I want all the stuff printed for Scarred Lands! It's not that I run it, nor even intend to run it, but I really want to see how a setting created entirely under 3e pans out. It's as a source of inspiration for my own campaign.

Beyond that, I have a few WotC books that I don't yet have: ELH, MotW, S&S, SBG.

But to be perverse, I think I might want to hhold on to at east some of the cash - I want something in hand for those new products that people tell me, on these boards, are really good! :)

Thank you guys:

Scarred Lands,
Necropolis,
Relics and Rituals 1 and 2,
Book of VD,
MM2,

I'd add pre painted Minis, a battle mat.

Bookshelf, folding table ok.

I just asked because, my friends came back from vacation and had spare cash, so they went into a bokstore and got all the WotC stuff. They are not immersered in the industry but love to play DnD with me. I guess after years of me spending thousands they spent some. I was surprized they just blew all that cash, I think in reality is was only $350 or something to buy things I/We didn't have.

Now it's my turn to buy stuff.

peace
