$1000 Where would you put yours?

If you had a spare grand what gaming products would you buy.

This can be any RPG books, Minis, Boardgames etc.

Any you have to spend just about all the 1k.

$750 on doctor's bills.

I'll need it after I tell my girlfriend I just dropped $250 on Planescape ESDs, Warhammer 40k, and Green Ronin/Mongoose stuff.

I wouldn't. Any spare cash that I'd have would go to school loans. Both my wife and I are recent grads who put ourselves through college.

What would I do with a grand, I'd put it in the bank and save it for somthing I really need and not blow it on poorly written game books from hack d20 publishers.

Half of it would go to buying RPG stuff. The other 500 would go to where it's really needed, my real life.

But if it was $1000 spare, I guess that means my debts have been payed off. Otherwise it wouldn't be around at all.

1000 USD... I usually spend 750 to 1000 USD on gaming, comics, anime and SF/Fantasy novels each month.

Regular expenses for RPGs involve
- 200 USD for the monthly rent for my group's gaming room.
- 80 USD for monthly snacks
- roughly 150 USD for monthly RPG/Fantasy Novel purchases.

LOL! Jeez, doesn't anyone want to play along with the premise of the thread? OK, we get the idea - nobody can afford to blow a grand all at once just on game books. PRETEND YOU WON THE LOTTERY and have everything paid off, and you have $1000 set aside just to blow on RPG stuff, for cryin' out loud!

I'd get:

* the Everquest RPG

* Book of the Righteous

* that futuristic Risk game - Risk 2120 or some such?

* the Pacific Theater Axis & Allies

* a new copy of some of those old Avalon Hill games like Panzer Leader

* one of those big, expensive board games everyone raves about that I just have never been able to afford - Settlers of Catan, maybe, with the add-ons


If I continue along these lines, that grand will be gone in no time...

Morrus gets a nice slice for this site. Then I'd get Oathbound, Slaine, and some Scarred Lands books (some keeps saying this setting is pretty good ).
