Kewl!

28) On a sinking ship in a storm.
29) In a musty basement over which is laid a visual (but not tactile) illusion of a palace (or a desert, or another grandiose location)
30) In an ice-cave.

  • In a large banquet (large tables, lots of food flying, tapestries and banners)
  • In the middle of a sirocco or sandstorm
  • In the middle of a hurricane

35) On the inside of a giant sphere that's rolling.
36) In an area with a permanent slow effect, forcing everything to save every round.
37) In a room with walls closing in on both sides.
38) In a spinning room.

39) A narrow street in a ruined city. Think Mordheim.
40) Atop a great statue, like the Statue of Liberty or the Argonath.
41) In a construction site. "Okay, you shoot the thug with the rivet gun, doing seven points of damage. Out of balance, he falls seven stories to his death."
42) Zero-G.
43) A good old-fashioned barroom brawl. Weapons left at the door.
44) Underwater, in a shipwreck. Water breathing optional.
45) Continuing in the vein of the above... A sinking ship.

46) In a dimensional rift where the characters(pc and npc) shift every 5 rounds from d&d characters, starwars characters, superheroes, spycraft, etc. all with appropriate gear/abilities.

SD

46) Against intruders in a wealthy patron's estate, where preventing damage to the owner's delicate furniture is almost as important as winning the battle.

47) In a burning building. Watch out as that fire spreads!

48) In the middle of an army camp, trying to steal the same widget as the thief you're fighting against. Both sides in the combat need to stay silent; if either side attracts attention, you both lose.

49) In the midst of a pitched battle between opposing forces. Arrows flying everywhere! Horses charging!

50) On the lip of an active volcano. Don't trip!

51) Inside the bedchambers of a king (with the king sleeping)

52) In a sacred glass garden of Ehlonna

53) In a burning castle

54) In a tree-top village

Locations where some of the best battles from our D&D campaigns have taken place:

55. Inside of a vast Y-shaped Cathedral of Ukko, the balconies filled with enemy archers, with squadrons of enemy troops at every exit (full battlemat and miniatures for this one).

56. While climbing a huge tree alongside of a cliff (fighting without falling being quite the challenge).

57. Inside of a K-Mart store on a 20th century world (at night, with both sides calling a truce and hiding when the cops came to check up).

58. In the middle of a forest during a class-five hurricane (the weather alone made missile use and several spells impossible, plus the occassional falling debris).

59. On a large merchant ship during the same class-five hurricane (a two pronged battle, fighting the enemy at bay and fighting to keep the ship from sinking).

60. Against a 250-strong monster army inside the ruins of an ancient castle (with full miniatures in the Lego built ruins)

61. In the Zhentarim’s Darkhold Castle

62. In an undead city on the 298th level of the Abyss

Both of the above are detailed in the "Chinese Take-out" Story Hour.
