Gorillaz has a couple of songs I really like with some interesting arrangements...but by & large, I can't credit them with being terribly original. Distinctive, yes, but not original.
Not that that is an indictment of their intrinsic value. AC/DC hasn't really stretched their artistic boundaries much since 1981's For Those About To Rock.
