14 Inches of Snow & 1 Inch of Ice

So, is this a by product of the greenhouse effect or just normal ol' weather at the change of seasons?
Normal weather. A huge weather system was stalled in Canada, and the result is warm weather in the east.

Its mild here in seaton, but I don'r know about anywhere else in devon :)

[edit: It actually looks cloudier now I've looked out the window, we might have some more rain.

LOL. Oh, oh, snow! You yanks kill me. :p

Up here, we finally got out of the week long -20 to -30 F (plus 30-50 m/h wind chill) death grip Old Man Winter had us in. Been shovelling 6" or more of snow off the walk every day. Good times, good times.

Love Missouri Weather

yep, Shade told me all about it... a few hours before it hooked to the northeast and came for chicago. ;) that was fun! of course, it was a lot less impressive by the time it got to us, but it did snow for a good 12 hours or so.

Yeah...I'm in an area that *does* get significant snow every year...and usually one to three good snowstorms, so you'd *think* we'd be used to it. And, in the past, I think they were. But, it seems like, the past few years, the news media has just gone ape-poo OMGWTF crazy when snow is predicted, and it feels like, maybe as a result of the coverage, people get freaked out by it.

I miss my old home in Wisconsin, where it took 6-12" of snow before people even really started to worry.
