I hadn't thought that far yet! :o I definitely want to be there for the first two sessions.

As for a meeting place, I don't know my way around at all (I go to work--which is in various places, one of which is Falls Church--and home and that's about it :)), but anywhere is fine assuming I get really good directions. Woodbridge is fairly well south of me.

Right...well if you wanted to we could meet at the West Falls Church Metro...at 8 when they open...and then hopefully we could make it to college park by 9.
Otherwise, we could always just meet at the metro and drive up. Hopefully I can get up early...I usually sleep in ;)

That being said, the West Falls Church Metro station can be found a multitude of ways from Fairfax.

If you're near the Dulles toll road, take it toward DC...hopping off of it in Tysons toward Falls Church/Alexandria (Route 7).

If you're near 66, take it toward Arlington/DC and hop off of it in the direction of Falls Church/Alexandria (Route 7).

As soon as you come into the Town of Falls Church (right after the 66 exit/crossing) you'll hit a light. The office building on the left is 7115 Leesburg Pike...and its hideous. There will be a Giant across the intersection on the left with a KFC and other stores. At this light you make a left (you'll see Metro signs). You drive a bit (not far...maybe 2 tenths of a mile) and you'll see a Metro sign with an arrow pointing left. There are condos/apartments/townhouses right there.

Make your left and at the next intersection make a right. The Metro parking is right there on the left...park wherever. And walk to the station. Parking is free on weekends.

If you want to email me about setting this up, try Lostpuppet_AT_adelphia_DOT_net or ronjr_AT_psaltd_DOT_com (replacing the AT and DOT with the applicable symbols).

Hope that wasn't too confusing :D

LOL

Yeah, I wasn't expecting you to meet me in Woodbridge. But from your location it seemed like the most "easily" accesible location would be a Metro Station.

Sorry for the miscommunication.

The Metro actually opens at 7am on Saturdays and Sundays and it's a little over an hour to College Park from West Falls Church (which is my home metro station)

I may not be riding in that morning though, I'll have to see if The Universe and Queen D are willing to put me up for the night again, like last time. ;)

We've always got a spot on our couch for you. :)

Thanks AIM-54...see its been years since i've been up that early... :D

No problem, glad to help :D

I had the misfortune of having to catch that train for the first Game Day last fall. I was pretty incoherent by the time I left at midnight.

Had a blast though, so I keep coming back...

Hm . . . I think I've been by Metro signs in Falls Church. I work on Annandale Road. I don't really know anything else. :) Maybe we should set up something for all those people wanting to carpool? I'm emailing you, Funeris.

If you're on Annandale road Dunn Loring is probably your closest Metro Station. From there it would be a hop/skip/jump to any other Metro Station on the Orange Line.

Excellent . . . assuming I can find my way there. ;)

Are people planning on meeting at a central location and carpooling? Is that what I hear?
