1920 Pulp Dinosaurs?

They are cold blooded. Could they survive there? Or it doesn't matter because there is micro-climate (because of a volcano)?

Well, so, here there are choices. In the real world, there's a whole lot of evidence that dinosaurs were warm-blooded, and many had feathers.

An Antarctic environment loaded with white feathery T-rex and such might be a lot of fun.

The classic would be to handle it as a microclimate - warmed by hot springs or some such. Or, it'd be entirely appropriate in 1920s pulp to have it maintained by mysterious technologies from some unknown or bygone race.

Indeed... but my players might. I have one player who is more concerned with realism than the others.

If you've got dinosaurs still alive in the 20th century, their blood temperature is the least issue you should have to worry about, in terms of realism.

Actually, I want an intelligent, talking, two-legged humanoid dinosaur species to be at the centre of the story. They could be the culmination of evolution with mysterious technology.

It's Fantasy. Just use magic, and poof, there it is. I shrunk a whole city and placed it in a bottle. One could do that for dinos as well. The infinite possibilities of Fantasy are, well, infinite!

There's a lot of Australia. A lot. And some great subterranean areas. A saurian riff on the Yith could be fun, or leave the Yith as alien and have sapiosaurs be one of the races the Yith had inhabited.

To give some words for context to Mr. Kuntz's link - the Sleestak are a species from the 70s TV series Land of the Lost. There was also a revival series in 1991, and a movie in 2009 that didn't follow the previously established cannon much.

It is pretty cheesy, and very 70s, but might be worth your while as a reference.
