2 New Classes Announced

My vote: Keep it simple. More books equal more rules. A few supplements like a planar book and maybe a book on environments wouldn't hurt, but is there a need for an Asian or Middle-Eastern themed book? Possibly put them together with a South America and Africa-esque "alternate worlds/alternate locales" book that encompasses all of these settings, but one of each seems a bit like overkill. I am not sure what anyone needs beyond the core and bestiary anyway. How hard is cobbling together most anything you need for a game nowadays without waiting for a book that might or might not have what you are looking for in it? In comparison to the simulacrums or a system like Savage Worlds, the excess baggage of book upon book doesn't appeal to a lot of people.

In taking a break from Labyrinth Lord, just running Pathfinder is a bit daunting, as the excruciating madness of feats and skills begins to sink in again. But we are giving it a try as the books are well done and look astonishing.

I would rather see a focus on peripherals for a game instead of a batch of hardbacks that might or might not have the information that I want, that I could probably find online somewhere anyway if I poked around enough, or a bunch of rules added on. The game, as is, has enough rules and guidelines with two books, any additional rules I can figure out or make on the fly.

Not sure if any of us have officially said here on ENworld... but the playtests for the first two of the six new base classes begins this Friday. This playtest will feature the oracle and the cavalier and will, I believe, last for a few weeks before we move on to do the next two and then a few weeks after that, the last two.

Wonderful! These are open playtests, like the Pathfinder RPG Alpha and Beta, correct?
