2 New Classes Announced

When I think "outer space" it's going to probably feel a lot more like the stuff we're doing in Planet Stories. Very pulpy, pretty gritty. Expedition to the Barrier Peaks type stuff. Not so much Spelljammer.
I saw a lot of obvious sword & planet influence in the solar system of Golarion, so that certainly seems like a fun idea if it goes along those lines somewhat. A bit more Burroughs and Brackett and C. L. Moore rather than Barrier Peaks would be much more up my alley.

Also: the swashbuckler is an archetype that's sorely lacking in the base class line-ups, and a rogue/fighter is a poor substitute for one. I think that's a much more glaring hole in the line-up of classes than an oracle or a cavalier (who can be credibly done as a paladin or as a fighter with a lot of mounted combat feats.)

Maybe check out the Tome of Secrets by Adamant Entertainment, Hobo? The Swashbuckler in there for Pathfinder seems pretty good, but I haven't had a chance to see it in play or anything yet (the only people running PF that I've seen so far have been strictly limiting their games to the PF core rules and PF bestiary).

Oh, I've got options. I actually rebuilt the swashbuckler (from Complete Warrior) with additions from Green Ronin's corsair class and Monte Cook's unfettered, costed out using the Trailblazer guidelines, and I think it's on about the same page as the Pathfinder classes.

I'm just sayin'. It's a pet peeve of mine; the swashbuckler archetype is one of my favorite archetypes, and the D&D rules have always rather poorly modeled it, IMO. At least until fairly late in the product stage. The handwavey fighter/rogue combination, or duelist prestige class never really satisfied me, because I felt like I couldn't start out playing the archetype; I had to have quite a few levels under my belt before I could really have the character I wanted from the get-go.

 Anyway, just a comment.

Environment books would be good, especially if we don't get a repeat of Cityscape and Dungeonscape. Stormwrack, Frostburn and Sandstorm were great. I would have liked to have seen a book on forests and swamps instead of cities and dungeons.

More critter books are always welcome. Get together with Necromancer games and synchronize monsters from their Tome of Horrors series please.

As long as you get the artwork right, I would be happy with something resembling the Pathfinder version of Spider Moon. Just remember to throw in the Giff if you don't mind.
