20 Questions

Help! I'm starting (ok, restarting) an Eberron campaign, and I'd like to send out a 20 question 'getting to know your character' survey for the players (who like these things, apparently). I did a google search, but I was unable to find anything that remotely resembled what I was looking for. Can anyone point something like this out for me? This is the basic type of questions here - "What happened to your parents?" "Who instructed you in your profession?" etc. Anyone?

I don't do anything like that, at least not that structured.

I usually just tell my players to give me a written PC background, telling them that the better the background, the better bonus items I'll dish out. I also tell them that if they're stymied, they can ask for my help...but they won't get as tasty an item.

They have their backgrounds - ranging from a paragraph to two pages. This is just something extra for those who are interested to flesh out their characters even more.

I know what your talking about, and I've seen them before I just don't know where.

On anouther note her are the question I'd put one mine. Though I might just ask players to look it over while they were writing their backrounds

Here's the one we used.

1. How did the Last War affect you?
2. Did you lose family or loved ones?
3. Was your community destroyed?
4. Were you involved in any of the fighting?
5. Do you have a dragonmark, if so what is your relationship with your house?
6. If you don't have a dragonmark, are you connected to a house in any way?
7. What are your religious beliefs and how strongly are you commited to them?
8. Do you have any enemies, did you cross the wrong person or see something you shouldn't have?
9. Do you have any old friends or contacts?
10. How did you come by your class/classes? What drew you to being a wizard/cleric/paladin/etc...
11. What are your long term goals?
