20+ years, and no gazebo...

i have been gaming since the late 70's, and still don't know what all these gazebo references are....i remember a supers game in a cartoon in dragon that made a reference to gazebo man, but thats it, can someone fill me in?

I don't know if its just living in the UK, but Gazebo is such an obvious thing that I'd never heard of it used in this sense. Lots of people have gazebo's in their garden. Isn't this true world-wide
