200 gnomes, in a boat, no wind. Help.

What type of Gnomes are they? If they are Garden Gnomes they should have Fishing Rod as part of their starting kit.

Attach their pointy hats on the ends of the fishing rods and use them as makeshift oars.
Better still, hang half of them over the side and get them to swim, pulling the ship along.

Well, I did misread the rules, so we'll all starve at a slower rate.

So, I can create enough for 15 humans a day, which is enough for 30 gnomes (who take half as much as Humans, per DMG pg. 304). And I can do it twice, so that's 60 gnomes. Plus, I have a full party of six to feed (anyone want to guess how many of the PCs put "Rations" on their character sheets?).

Oy.

Some great ideas here regarding mass use of gnomish abilities. I especially like the "change the sea to taste like blood." Clever. Inventive. We'll probably do it. And it is *so* going to get us killed.

But, that's why we play!

I can't believe there is no "create biscuit" spell out there or some deal.

cheers,

Carpe

"Post-asparagus urine" might be a safer taste than blood, for attracting less aggressive fish. Of course, you'll have to create some asparagus, consume it, and... gain knowledge of the taste before you can start to prestidigitate it.
As for moving the ship, get the gnomes to start dismantling it from the back and rebuilding it in front. Repeat as necessary.

build a gnome powered windmill out of the anchor spinning thing. the gnomes build a giant wind mill, start cranking it, and bing! instant breeze. then you change the water to taste like not blood, but plankton. whales show up. you harpoon one. enjoy the ride, and FEAST!!! also, if you have a high enough level bard along, have him cast heroes feast for the party, and barely eat anything. just give as many people as posssible enough to survive.
