[2006] Renting a floor at the Embassy Suites

Embassy Suites Question regarding reserving a floor.

Adding a poll now with multiple responses. You will note that there is no "no" response because, frankly, I'm not interested in how many folks can't / won't be able to help rent a floor. Instead I need to know how many are interested, when they can set reservations, would they be willing to split a room. Remember that each room costs $160 / night - but there are two beds and a hide a bed in each room so if three folks room together, reducing the cost to around $55 / person / night when a room is split 3 ways.

The poll will allow multiple responses, please read it carefully and respond seriously as I'll be presenting the data to Embassy Suites. Your user name will be logged and publically available.

I voted interested, but with my wedding coming in July, I won't likely be able to make any set in stone plans any further than a month in advance. That could very well change once we get within 3-6 months from GenCon though.

Voted. To clarify, Michael, I'll make reservations in my own name, and worry about finding or not finding a roommate at a later date.

You know, a common tactic for any group that wants to demonstrate its economic impact is to use $2 bills. I'm not necessarily advocating that, because it sounds to me like a royal pain, just mentioning it as a matter of related interest.

I've actually been doing this for YEARS, not because I want to demonstrate my economic impact, but because I like to. I bring $200 in 2's to every Gen Con and Origins (and have for more than 10 years) and try to stock up on dollar coins and 50 cent pieces - its fun.

If the Embassy Suites was good you everyone this year, I'd be interested. I stayed at the Hilton this year and was dissapointed with the service an the room (a shame too, I picked them on purpose this year because last year the stay and room were very nice)

Why do you build me up (build me up) Buttercup, baby
Just to let me down (let me down) and mess me around
And then worst of all (worst of all) you never call, baby
When you say you will (say you will) but I love you still
I need you (I need you) more than anyone, darlin'
You know that I have from the start
So build me up (build me up) Buttercup, don't break my heart
You realize, of course, that now she'll tell you she works for a secret black ops division of the CIA, and then her bosses will have you killed.
