I'd love a proper treatment of the WoW world in D&D. The old 3E stuff certainly didn't cut it, and besides, the 4E rules seems infinitely better suited to an Azeroth campaign.

Now that's an interesting take on the subject. Subverting the whole "4E plays like an MMO"-trope. Or wait a minute, there was a Warcraft setting for 3.x, wasn't there?

Yes.

And it suffered from editing and balancing issues; even if we disregard the "which edition is a better fit" issue.

So a new attempt would be welcome regardless; especially if it's a WotC official publication (presumably featuring more experienced designers with more time).

Ah well, we can dream...
