At minute 7 or so ‘I wish the Black Flag SRD were released under the CC license’

I’ll second that, it’s just more flexible than ORC, are the Kobolds considering releasing it under CC-BY as well?

Anyone know why this was moved to Promotions / Press ???
No, but I can make a good guess.

I do like KP but would you have posted this video if the yellow bit said Nimble 5E or DC20 instead?

Not a criticism, do what you have to do, promotion isn't a bad word, but let's not pretend this thread isn't promotion! It seems perfectly reasonable to put it in the promotion forum. :)

Maybe ask Mike Shea to post it next time!

Want the honest truth? I hadn’t even watched the video yet, I just figured Mike does great content that is really helpful to the TTRPG community, and a year in review video would be of interest to everyone, so I posted it … simple as that.

I did eventually watch it of course and saw those couple minutes of coverage on Tales of the Valiant and the Black Flag Reference Doc, but it totaled maybe 5 minutes out of an hour long video!

Oh, and … since the video covers lots of other companies and games, including WotC / new version of D&D … clearly I would still post such a video :)

Sometimes people just do something because they think others in the community might be interested, and it gets frustrating when it seems to automatically get assumed to have ulterior motives …

I was the one who moved it. It was just a simple link to a video without any added comment and featured the OP's company's products.

Since August, there have been close to 100 videos posted on Sly Flourish's channel. The last time the OP posted a random Sly Flourish video was on December 11th, which also happened to feature their company's products. Before that was in August. That video was entirely about the OP's products. The other 97(ish) videos which did not feature their products were not posted by the OP. With respect, it would take a helluva Persuasion check to convince me it wasn't promotionally intended.

We don't mind you advertising here. That's your job, and why you're here, and you're welcome. But we do prefer to correctly categorise it for the benefit of our users. I can't think why it would be, as it's such a trivial thing, but I hope that's not a problem.

I don't want to close the thread, as it's a great video, but if there are any further questions about moderation, please take them to Meta or PM. The issue is closed as far as this thread is concerned. Thanks.
