...he might also be a replacement for Jack, in the long run, (= next season), if Kiefer Sutherland and the authors decide they need a real shock and kill of Jack! (Unfortunately, I don`t hink that the actor of Chase has the same presence as Sutherland)

Nobody would have the same presence as Sutherland. Without him the show would not work. I don't think we have to worry though, as this project is Sutherland's top priority at this point, and I'm sure he'll want to see it through to the end of season five (and the 120 episode syndication package). Sure, there's money in DVD series sales, but the real big bucks still rests in syndication.
