Ok, I'd love to offer my thoughts on the episode, but I'm a little doped up on my medication for my sinus infection...

But I saw that there was no thread already, and I'd love to read YOUR thoughts! (I'll contribute later, when the room is less spinny...)

First off, why does this thread have the Buffy tag?

Well, I'm still hooked on the show. I really hope that we haven't seen the last of Chloe. I also have a feeling that the teenaged boy is eventally going to turn on his parents.

I also really like William Devane as the Seceretary of Defense. His attempted escape last episode gave me the feeling that his character was probably a lot like Jack Bauer when he was younger, which would explain why he seems to have warmed up to Jack so well. :)

I'm still watching but my suspension of disbelief is slipping quickly. I suspect the "football" is going to be hacked by the dude the Sec of Def's daughter recognized.

I enjoyed this episode quite a bit. As I stated before the Araz family dynamic will be very interesting to watch. I also feel the kid will turn eventually. I hope it's a surprising moment.

I would be fine with not seeing Chloe again. She just irks me.

The hook with Jack now racing against a missile strike is cool. I can't remeber them doing that before (I mean specifically).

And did i miss something in the earlier episodes on the guy that the secretary's daughter recognized? Have we seen him before?

I've actually done that before and not on mediacation. If you don't use the tags very often and aren't paying attention you can click the the button for the TV tag just to the right of it. Only the correct corresponding button is to the left. So you have chosen the Buffy tag instead. :heh:

Oh yeah, Jack has to do everything himself...ah-HA!!!

At least Chole wasn't shot or bombed like other CTU employees, and I like her irkness...shows that life is quirky.:D

crap. I forgot to set my VCR and totally missed this episode. Can someone summarize what happened for me?

Long version:

http://www.fox.com/24/episodes/guide.html

Short version (important stuff):

The police that have Jack contact CTU and release Jack and Driscoll puts him in charge in the field. He tracks Kalil with satellite help frlom CTU. The local police screw things up and Kalil realizes he is being followed and commits suicide by driving head on into a truck. CTU eventually tracks by thermal tracking and some such to where the hideout is and Jack arrives just before the trial is beginning. As this happens the President is convinced to launch a preemptive missile strike to destroy the facility and Jack is ordered to stand down which of course he does not. Show ends.

Debbie's mother comes looking for her at the Araz house and is convinced to leave. Dina (the mother) is ordered to follow her to make sure she reports nothing to the authorities.

Chloe is forced to resign and is escorted off the premises.

darn. I like Chloe... she's so damned effective, and totally on Jack's side. Sounds like next week will be pretty exciting. Hopefully, the mother will get hit by a car and dragged for a few blocks before dying painfully (I really dislike her character :) )
