Finally for tonight, I little heads up on how I intend to run combat.
My bad guys will go on a single initiative count. I'll figure out a fair average of the opposition in presence.
I will roll your individual initiative using Invisible Castle (and post the link(.
So on first round, those who beat my bad guy's INI act (in whatever order)m then my guys, then all of you (in whatever order).
At which point is simply You - Me - You - Me etc.
I will give you all the the passive stats of my monsters, including things like resistance and immunities.
This will be justified in-game through the assistance of a Chloe type character in constant communication with you through magical means.
So on your action, you will make your roll and call the result using
Invisible Castle.
Ex:
You attack a goon. I indicated that his Reflex was 15, that he had 17/54 hp (bloodied) (cursed).
Barrion attacks him.
Eldritch Blast (1d20+9=29, 1d10+6=12, 1d6=5)
As you can see, Barrion scored a critical so...
Critical bonus damage (2d6=2)
(of course in this case the +2d6 were irrelevant so in practice you shouldn't waste your time rolling them for nothing)
You know the attack hits, you know it killed him so you may post accordingly.
The next player then has to account for the change in the battle map.
Occasionnally you'll think you've killed a monster but he can pulls a cat of his hat and suprise you with a weird power. Then we edit. That's what the button is for. But it shouldn't be too common. In fact, I'll likely tell you upfront what can happen if you first reduce a monster to 0. It'll also be chalked off to info provided by the support center.
For example, some monster gets a free attack when they are reduced to 0. Well, I'll tell you the stat of that attack and you'll roll it yourself against your PC if it is appropriate.
---
Sometime a player will post late in a round and then early in the next. What happens to power that last until the end of his next turn? Common sense. If a power grants +2 to allies until your next turn, I'll interpret it as meaning for their next action instead, for example.
This is the easier way to runs things. The option of you telling me what you do and me rolling EVERYTHING isn't gonna happen. It's enough work doing all the goons! I have large fights planned.
