If Leyra moves up to the whirling thingie, can she see DM5 then and fire at him? As I don't know what else to do right now.[/SBLOCK]

OOC: Hmmm... it was teh shuriken thats trike me. My bad. In that case, I'm not sure I'll have put myself in a situation giving combat advantage if I had no chance to down him. But as I don't know what I would have done instead. I'll let it like that.

Barrion teleports himself out of the grasp of the tentacles and next to Nathan. Barrion curses the uncursed monk flanking him, and then swings his sword into monk standing in the doorway.

The monk is too fast and dodges out of the way.

[sblock]Yes, when adjacent to the machine you can see enough between the blades to target people accross. That's how barrion teleported you.[/sblock]

Garrick, confident in his abilities, mentally prepared his move.

Spring free from these darned tentacles, use Deft Strike to move next to the 5th monk and then strike him hard.

All well and good, especially with the Whirling Death machine bearing down on him. Unfortunately things did not go as well as planned! His vaunted acrobatic ability chose this point to fail, leaving him stuck in the shadow tentacles like an ant in tree sap!

He gulped as the machine trundled closer; no time to attack now! With a desperate, fear-fueled lunge, he resorted to a burst of strength, not at all something he was known for, and was mightily surprised and relieved when he managed to break free from the death hold.

He took a step closer to the monk...

[sblock=OOC]Move - Acrobatics 3+14=17 (IC really wants me dead!) Exchange Standard action for Move action and try again using Athletics. Athletics 12 +4 = 16 Success!. Move to K14 as part of escape manoeuvre. Minor Action - draw dagger and prepare to attack (before running away!)

Leyra

Grateful for Barrion's selfless help, Leyra heads back, next to the whirling machine of death, and lets loose an arrow on the nearest opponent, but misses.

OOC: Move down next to the machine; Attack DM5 (AC 17 DMG 13).

The monk facing garrick tries to strike the small hafling on a vital nerve but fails.

Gloom fist (1d20+12=18)

He then rushes around him to get to safety before the death machine reaches his position without hetting hit by Garrick.

AoO (1d20+9=19, 1d4+2=4)

The tentacles tries to recapture the halfling and the first one succeeds.

Tentacle VS 21 (1d20+10=21, 1d6+3=9)

Two of the monks have Nathan in pincer and attack with their gloom fists and both of them tag the warrior. Nathan feels dangerously weak as his energy is sapped and draining quickly.

Gloom fist (1st has -2 for cover) (1d20+14=25, 1d6+4=5, 1d6=6, 1d20+14=28, 1d6+4=8, 1d6=3)

[sblock]With the -2 for cover, DM3 actually rolled 23 which still hits because Nathan suffers -2 to all defense. That effect ends right after my hound attack. Damage from both monk is treated as a critical; damage 10. That's an encounter power. DM3's Gloom fist recharges, not DM2's. Ongoing 5 twice, save ends (necrotic) [/sbock]

The remaing monk takes advantage of the flanking opportunity and attacks Barrion and also tags him hard.

Both Barrion and Nathan feel dazed by the attacks.

Gloom fist (1d20+14=29, 1d8+4=5) -2 for shadow walk, hits

[sblock]I should have rolled a D6 for damage instead of a D8 but it doesn't matter since he also used dark moon strike and scored a critical.

Recharge on 4 (1d6=5)

It also recharges.

Using the cover of darkness, the hounds teleport in the back of Dagran and seize the occasion to surprise him. The dwarf suddenly loses all sight!

Bite, +2 CA (1d20+13=23, 1d8+1d6+4=6)

The monk in front of him, also unable to see, seizes the opportunity to slip away.

Immediate interrupt against shift (1d20+12=17, 2d6+8=18) -5 for total darkness, miss

Finally the machine reaches Garrick position and runs him over but the miniature agent contortionate to avoid decapitation as the blades move past him.

The machine, having reached its original position, does not stop. It continues down the corridor.

Leyra

Not wanting to get into the tentacles again, Leyra only cautiosly moves forward, sending a ray of pure light towards the nearest enemy.

OOC: Move: One step forward (assuming the tentacles do not have reach);
Standard: Sacred Flame on DM5 (hit (Reflex 27) for 14 radiant damage);
Barrion gains 5 temporary hit points or can make a saving throw.

[sblock=ooc]does the chariot count as a trap? I'm thinking of use the phantasmal terrain spell on the area where the chariot will roll this turn. that would give it +5 to hit the two monks it would roll over and would'nt affect my allies.[/sblock]
