Jack enlists Gredenko to help him, but Gredenko has his own secret agenda that doesn't involve helping CTU. The President comes back strong, but his authority is being questioned by the Vice President.

Psssstt...he can SAVE THE WORLD!!! :D

Great episode - best one in a while, except for the last five minutes. What the heck?? Unless the nuke was retargeted to Vice President Daniel's house I don't get it.

Wow... the series is either starting to circle the shark tank OR is about to head to a midnight train wreck. Either way it's going to be entertaining to watch.

I hope Jack doesn't die next episode.. He at least diserves to go out in a gunfight with his dead not some terrorist punks trying to rescue their ringleader. No matter what, I hope they don't play the Jack becomes a a hostage so that Ricky Schroder can rescue him and earn instant fan respect type of plot angle.

I've enjoyed and stuck with 24 throughout it all, even all the Kim stuff, but last night really made me wonder if I was wasting my time watching.

I had many issues with the fast and loose way they have tossed about the 25th ammendment procedures to begin with, but last night really irritated me.

Throw on top of that the bizzarre behavior of Palmer at the end and I was ready to walk away (I will watch next week hoping there is a decent explaination of his bahavior).

And I saw that Milo is the latest recipient of Fast Healing 24 as he no longer needs his sling.

Well, this season of 24 has just had its bonehead stunt. After fighting tooth and nail to retain the Presidency and prevent the Vice-President from launching a nuke, a victorious Wayne Palmer decides to... do exactly the same thing.

Maybe Palmer just couldn't bear the thought of it not being him who ordered the strike.

I could be wrong but I think that was the point. The Prez thought that if it wasn't him, it would be the VP who was remembered for being tough. It's a big symbol, who gave the order.

I read this but haven't said anything before. I still like 24. Yes, most things aren't portrayed very realistically, but I watch it for the drama and the characters. As long as those remain strong, I will keep watching it.

Take care!

I think the reason Wayne Palmer is acting so aggressive is because of the multiple shots of adrenalin he has been given. I don't think he would normally order the nuclear strike.

In other news, I bet Jack will be wearing a bullet-proof vest when he gets shot next week.

Well, he said something to Tom about how they thought he was weak.

Maybe now that they have Fayed and Gredenko looks to be a goner, the story will shift and Jack will have to stop a crazed President, who is trying to prove he is macho, from nuking another nation and then heading onto the streets of DC to eat babies.

Or, it could be as a result of the injury and medications, Palmer failed his save and Mind Flayers have taken control.

That's what I thought too.
