She took Chase's baby to CTU back when she was first introduced, why not her own child? :p

Social services would take her child away if they found out that Chloe brought her child to work on a day that Jack Bauer decided to visit.

(Knowing 24 anyway, they'll probably make a time jump so her baby will be a toddler next season. Then his elementary school can be threatened by terrorists.)

Oh God.. I could just imagine if Kindergarden Cop was done as a 24 storyline.

Jack: "Domminic, I don't want to hurt you, but you should understand 6 years ago I killed my partner and I watched my own father and brother die and felt nothing. Do not think I will have any qualms about torturing you. Tell me, who is your father, and what does he do..."
Domminic: "I can't tell you..."
Jack: "Tell me now, damn it!"
Jack slaps Domminic, grabs his gun then shoots Domminic's mom.
Domminic begins to scream and cry.
Jack: "If you do not tell me who your father is, hundreds of people will die. The only way I can stop the terrorists is if I know who your father is!"
Jack grabs a knife and grabs Domminic violently.
Domminic: "Mommy help me...."
Jack: "Your mom is hurt badly, if you do not tell me who your father is and what does, your mom will die. I could save her, but you must answer my questions first. Who is your father, and what does he do?"

Bah, really didnt add anything to the show considering chloe can't take her baby to CTU next season. Just seemed like a way to soap opera it upa bit.
actually, the 'touching ending' I was referring to was Jack sitting by Audrey and holding her hand and realizing that he couldn't be in her life anymore....

I enjoyed the final two episodes. Even if it was unrealistic to tie up all lose ends, it was pretty nice to have some closure. It also makes the ending with Jack a lot more open, offering a lot more possibilities for next season...

Finally got to watch the finale this weekend.

What was up with Milo's brother arriving for his body? With his odd disappearance after Nadia took her call, I thought for sure he did something to Chloe, rather than her collapsing because she was pregnant. Was it a deliberate red-herring to make Chloe's collapse more dramatic, or just a useless couple of scenes designed to allow a moment of reflection on Milo?

As for the ending, did anyone else notice that Jack went plot-stupid again at the end of this episode? Facing his wounded father her just walks away. He doesn't ask about the component, he doesn't finish off his father, he just walks away leaving Philip Bauer holding the component, sitting 20 feet away from the powerboat used to bring Josh to the rig.

Anyone else think he got away in the boat and next season he will be found selling the component to the Chinese?

A possibility, but I doubt it. The area was satellite covered, so any escaping ships should have been noticed. (And the Chinese submarine already retreated)

Morris was covering the area with infrared satellite imagery - when the rig blew, it went all white from the heat, which could have been nice cover for a boat to slip away and be lost amidst hot, floating debris. Also, once the rig was hit, nobody at CTU seemed to be paying much attention to the satellite images, they just seemed to think, "well, that's done."
