It did seem a rushed. He could have gone a few more hours dealing with him before trying to kill him. And like you said, to do it in broad daylight in the middle of the street.

I think he feared he might lose control of the situation. He made a mistake by showing his emotions, and I think he knew that Jack (or others) would try to seperate them. He probably saw this as the last chance for revenge. It wasn't rational, sure, but that just shows how deep the trauma was Curtis experienced.

Still came as a surprise. I hope they don't kill of Mr.Secret Service (whathisname?) in this season, too. (He wasn't on screen yet, maybe he even isn't in this season at alll)

The nuke was great, and Jacks look on his face. A true "WTF" moment...
