Yeah, ignoring the flip flopping presidential decisions, the last couple eps have been more exciting than those about Sherry-gate, though I believe that particular story isn't quite dead yet.

Jack should have shot and kill all the guys in black who jumped out of the van, maybe let one go to bring Chapelle's body back. Nobody said Jack had to let the Men in Black get out alive, did they?
I though the same - kill them, maybe you would feel better afterwards. And even if not, at least some bad guys would die, too. :-)

Oh, and regarding Palmer, the Sheri incident:
As he said, he was doing to save a few millions americans - not himself. So maybe he will decide to tell everything afterwards, or something like that...

I figure that the adrenaline rush has temporarily replaced the cravings. Once things calm down again he'll be needing the fix.
I thought: Jacks`only drug is Adrenaline...

About the only character that wasn't related to anyone has been shot. Of course, the two non-related left will possibly turn out to be traitors. Expediency at the cost of realism.
Don`t count on this development. During the first few shows, when we watched this Ayar (?) guy working for the wrong side, I thought: Oh now, not again. They really have to improve checking their people. But then we figure out that he is really working with Jack and Chase...

And do you know from personal experience that agencies don`t allow internal "relationships"? It is quite common for people sharing the same workspace to become friends - or more. (well, sometimes they also begin to hate each other...) It causes difficulties, possibly. But you can`t change teams every 6 month, just because someone fell in love with another agent in his agency...
