28 days later (teaser and trailer thoughts)

First Post
When I first say the teaser I thought this was going to be a good thriller type movie. I thought it was a well down teaser and really got me interested. When I saw the trailer today I thought that this was a good movie when it was Omega Man (movie from 1971). Obviouslly there are differences, but the basic plot seems very similar. That is not an all together bad thing, I liked Omega Man and Charles Heston did a great job in it. But I really wasn't expecting that from seeing the teaser and now I'm a little disappointed.

Um, how to try and explain the film without dropping any spoilers...

Ha, I just won't. But I will recommend it if you like what you see in the trailers, it's a great film. And some bits of it actually made me uncomfortable...:)

While the themes may be similar to The Omega Man, 28 Days Later is a very different film. It may end up having more in common with Night of the Comet.

For what that's worth.

Hopefully one day we will get a *faithful* adaptation of Richard Matheson's "I Am Legend" (the wonderful story which provided the concept for Omega Man and probably 28 Days Later as well).

Unfortunately, the last "I Am Legend" script was a big, steamy load.

ps. Fox wins the Timing Awards again! First the DC Snipers help take the fun out of shooting at Colin Farrel in Phonebooth, and now the Sars panic is ready to kick Another 28 Days in the junk.

edit: Am I the only one who thought Another 28 Days would be about Sandra Bullock falling off the wagon?

When I first saw the title I did, but it didn't take long for me to realize that the movie was way different.

If the film you're talking about is the one where there is only 1 man left alive in the whole world and everyone else is a vampire or something, you're way off the mark.

My take on the movie, based on the trailer, is a cross between "The Stand" and "Night of the Living Dead."

I was thinking more of "Night of the Comet" (without the humor factor).
