2ed help to find a monster!

a player from my whants to play a pixie.

thats ok, i got the humanoids handbook.

the thing is that the pixie is bigger then we thougth (about 2 feet, i believe), and he was looking fot the size like that little fairy who have a chrush on peter pan (twinkle?).

any ideas?

Tinker bell, not Twinkle.

I forget how big sprites were in 2e, I thought there were some really small fairy types. Nut 2' tall pixies are indeed big little folk, just a step below gnomes and halflings.

Just make it the size the player wants, but use the pixie stats?

The smallest thing I could find in my 2E MM was the Atomie at "less than 1' tall". It's a sprite, and I found it on page 328 of the Monstrous Manual.

well, yeah, its from the sprite entry, but so is pixie. are they all the same family, or they are togheter by "likeliness"?

Brownies, pixies, and sprites (and possibly nixies, too) are all from the same sylvan/"Faerie Folk" family. I think brownies might be petite enough to sub for pixies, if it really matters.
