I've also got a list of changes to all spells compiled principally by a poster on ENworld - but for some reason my current copy is truncated at "Disintegrate", I'm trying to get the rest of the info back...

Wow, over a year later and that list is still proving useful!

That seems to be a very common misconception. I was just talking to someone who has the 3e books but not 3.5, and he seemed to think there weren't really any changes either. In fact, I've met multiple players and DMs (ones who don't frequent EnWorld), who seem to be of the same opinion that 3.5 is just a small update vs. 3e.

I originally thought the same until it bit me in a game where I had been reading the 3e player's description of something and it was very different in 3.5e. Wow.
