D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Feats Listed

exactly fighter/rogues need something at high levels. I primarily think so they don't become mere meat shields for the spellcasters after level 10. It gets lame when all you really do is waste time so the cleric or wizard can solve all the problems. Though I think wizards also need a boost at low levels so they aren't such drag on the party. Wiz/sor are like a college educaiton for the party. They cost a lot, but eventually its supposed to pay off and you get some use out of them. Problem is when they start paying off you no longer get to do anyhting because it becomes the spellcaster show hour.

High level combat feats: maybe improved weapon focus, spec, and precise shot and another or 2. Not enarly good enough, IMO. I want fighter feats from Bab 0-Bab 20. Now insead you ge tfihgters who presitge it, or go bab0-bab9ish feats then start ove with some bab 0 prereq feats to start another line.

Nice to see that sanity reigns somewhere.

Fighters were fine, until the DMG came out. With prestige classes, there's no reason to stay a fighter at high levels.

I'm glad Eagle Claw attack didn't make it. Why should monks have to spend a feat to sunder when no one else does?

I agree that there is good reason to feel cheated with all of the +2/+2 feats in the book. Mutants and Masterminds had one feat, Talented, that gave that bonus.

Feats I would like to see in the core rules (most taken from elsewhere):
-1 rank in every Craft skill, so you can use them all
-Stand up from prone as a free action
-Sleep in armor without taking penalties
-Power Attack for Dex-based attacks (rather than called shot rules)
-social benefit feats: contacts, resource access, nobleman rights
-great strength feat; a virtual bonus to strength for everything except attack and damage

As I recall, many of the feats that grant a +2/+2 to specific skills had a prereq (usually the appropriate ability at 13+) listed as they appeared in the splat books. Any speculation on that aspect? That would also put to rest the +2 to any two skills debate then.

I don't remember any of the +2/+2 feats having any prereqs, other than one of the I Am Charming! feats from S&S, which had another I Am Charming! +2/+2 feat as a prereq.

("I Am Charming!" -- see Munchkin d20.)

minor point: far as i know, you already can use them all by the Core rules. Craft is an untrained skill.

Fine, then, be a jerk and point out my obvious factual errors!:p

One of my players said that crafts were trained only, and that's the first thing I thought of... that's what I get for not checking.

Nothing to see here... move along.

Well, I fear this would work best as a Supernatural Ability, not as a Feat. Yes, I like to point out your obvious errors. But if your character really need to sleep in a full plate mail or the like, there's something for you, from Masters of the Wild, page 28:

Ease: A suit of armor with this enchantment allows its wearer to rest comfortably overnight without removing it, regardless of how heavy it is. The wearer can don ease armor in only 5 rounds, or remove it in a single round.
Caster Level: 5th; Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, Soften earth and stone; Market Price: +1 bonus.

No need for a new senseless feat.

Actually, I don't like it as a magical ability for armor. I don't let my players buy magic items except scrolls and potions, and then only rarely.

Quite right, I was confusing them with similar ones in the Netbook of Feats. My apologies.
