That is not a sword, that is an oversized, metallic cricket bat!

Yes, Puck points out that the Dragonslayer isn't really a sword, but more like a huge metal club that Guts swings so powerful that the enemies just sort of "explode in a bloody mess" when he "cuts" them with it.mach1.9pants said:That is not a sword, that is an oversized, metallic cricket bat!![]()
He isn't that bad if he sticks to what he is good at. The World Ends With You looks to have a great style, for example. Other than that, though, I do agree that he can be pretty bad.Zamkaizer said:I prefer a brick to the head over any of Nomura's styles. Failing that, Yoshitaka Amano or Akihiko Yoshida will do.

I don't understand what it is that drives certain people to actually like pictures of characters with unrealistically large swords. Why is that cool? Where's the appeal? Since when does that evoke "high fantasy?"

Bring on the 4E Cave Paintings and 4E Cubism.
Okay, maybe not Cubism, but I really wish they would embrace the VARIETY, and not just stick to pleasing specific existing fan groups.
I especially dislike Nomura's style in The World Ends With You and the Kingdom Hearts games.TwinBahamut said:He isn't that bad if he sticks to what he is good at. The World Ends With You looks to have a great style, for example. Other than that, though, I do agree that he can be pretty bad.
Yes, that one was very amusing. I like the pic, mind you; but I wonder how many of the anti-anime / anti-4e people reconcile that with their interest in Pathfinder.Zulithe said:
