*choke* Must try *gasp* to not *sputter* answer... :p

I agree, though, that a menagerie has some cool roleplaying potential. :)

I'd recommend Simple Weapon Proficiency as a mechanically simpler solution, but I'm not up in arms about it.

take the crossbow off the list and i'd agree.

druid implies someone raised in the wilds or fringe of society away from the civilized/organized.

along those lines i would restrict armor to those things a naive person could make without the use of "modern" conviences.

or things they could barter or trade for and learn how to use without instruction.

or something the great high druid could pass on to his peers.

It might to you... I see no implication of where the druid was raised in the class, though, just where he is now.

Jeebus! The article has been up a few hours and people have already analyzed the changes and weighed in with "It's great!", or "It's broken!"

You're all smarter folks than I am. I usually have to play a character with that class before I can decide whether they're good or not.

A minor point of interest in the druid's description: There is mention of language slots under the info on Druidic. I wonder if this is a revision back to 2e language rules--iirc there was talk about them changing in 3.5.

...This gives the druid to move through the World of Darkness with ease, without getting hassled by masquerading vampires, apocalypsing werewolves, ascending mages, dreaming changelings, oblivious wraiths, reckoning hunters, fallen demons, or the like. ;p

I would take that ability in a convention hallway in a heartbeat. :D

Overall, I like the changes to the druid, and although I have been itching before to play a halfling druid into the high levels, with this article the itch has just broken out into an all-out rash. :) GO, DRUIDS!

Andy Collins said on his web site that speak languages wasn't altered - however, remember that regardless of intelligence, all characters get a number of bonus languages equal to their INT modifier, as well as common, at first level before skill points are even counted. This has been in place since 3.0 - this could be a reference to those "slots."
