In 3.5 that has a range of Long (400 ft. + 40 ft/lvl), so it's hardly comparable to Scry.

Well, in that case there's really NO spell that allows you to scry a location.

Together with the new Teleport that doesn't allow to teleport anywhere you've never seen (not even with description as in 3.0), that means you won't go to new lands except by foot.
