It is detailed, but with violent thrust basically you are limited to one object/caster level (max 15), up to 25lbs per caster level total weight. You must succed at attack rolls (BAB + modifier(Int/Cha)) per object thrown. Weapons cause standard damage (although arrows and quarrels do 1d4 as if a dagger). Other objects do damage ranging from 1pt per 25lbs (barrels, soft things) to 1d6 per 25lbs (rocks).
i.e. if you wanted to do a violent thrust with shuriken, you could only throw 15 of them (max) at once.
The best bet for maximum damage would be to hurl 15 Greataxes at a target. Cool visual!
