3.5 update of the FR campaign book?

The Player's Guide to Faerun updates many of the spells and feats to the 3.5 edition. You also get a paltry four pages of lore updating the world to the then-current year of 1373.

I gotta say, I wouldn't mind seeing a new FRCS 3.5 edition, integrating some of the new material from the Player's Guide [and other sources], and maybe applying some of the lessons learned from Eberron.

Which is not to say I want the Realms to be more like Eberron...just the opposite, actually. Take a hard look at what makes the Realms a unique setting, and emphasize those elements even more. Make a top ten list, and put it in the front of the book --- here's what makes the Realms the Realms.

they continue to update Realms material to 3.11ed for Workgroups. in fact, they are still releasing hardbacks (which should be softcovers) for the Realms. just look at the future products list on the WotC site.

I know we've got Waterdeep and Lords of Ruin coming out for FR.

A lot of the other material, DMG 2, Weapons of Legacy, Battlefields, Malestorm, look to be generic though.

But then, please, DO NOT PUT ELMINSTER OR DRIZZT IN THAT LIST. Even if Elminster can be considered part of what makes the Realms the Realms, he isn't among the most important things.

If they were to do a FRCS 3.5. (unlikely hypothesis, though), I'd like also them to not provide full stat block for NPCs. This is a web-enhancement's job. Beside, their stat blocks were bogus. Just give name, alignment, race, sex, class(es) level(s), that's all.
