EDIT: Oh, and I think you have it a little wrong. The halfling's small weapon is always small. A human who pickes it up is a meidum creature wielding a small weapon, and thus takes a -2 penelity.MarauderX said:So... lemme get this straight... there are sizes to weapons based on critter size? Such as medium Medium weapons? So anything a halfling uses is a Small weapon, and once his human buddy picks it up it becomes a Medium weapon, one catagory 'smaller'? How confusing is it going to be???
The intention, clearly, is to prevent size scaling weirdiness... So a rogue can't use his short sword proficency with a ogre's meidum (3e size) 1d8 short sword which is basicly a piercing longsword.
It will be interesting to see how disarm and such have been changed... though the reletive size modifiers strikes me as very aquard, as well.
How do you classify the dagger [3E-tiny]?
A Meidum weapon two sizes smaller than the wielder?
A small weapon one size smaller than the wielder?
Likewise items get size bonuses to AC, so knowing their 'absolute' size is important...
