D&D 4E 3 months in and 7 to go - will YOU switch to 4e?

How will my game be affected by 4e?

I'm very psyched about 4E. I expect my 3.5 game to wrap by then, or short enough after that it wouldn't be worth the conversion. The next D&D/fantasy campaign I run will almost certainly (as much as I can say without actually seeing the rules) be a 4E game.

My vote was "other", though, because I'm starting to hit burnout. The other guy in the group who DMs picked up the new Castle Greyhawk, so I'll probably hand off the game to him for that. Unless it's extraordinarily easy to convert to 4E, we'll be playing in 3.5. He tried converting a module when 3.0 rolled out and found it to be less than fun.

As soon as 4e was announced, the guy DMing dropped D&D and started running Fantasy Hero.

My next campaign was Mutants & Masterminds at PL7

From what I've heard so far, no.

I've got the first Pathfinder to run, I still haven't run Age of Worms or Savage Tide, I just picked up a ton of GR adventures (looking forward to rerunning the 3.5 updated Freeport Trilogy for example), etc...

Now if I see the boxed set and it astonishes me, I may pick up 4e as a "NEW" game, but that'd be the same as how I'd treat Burning Wheel or Exalted. Not necessarily as a replacmeent for my D&D games, but in addition to it.

Due to a possible house move, I may be looking for a new gaming group next summer.

If I am, then I hope to start either as a player or possibly as a DM on a 4e game.

I'd like to actually run the Adventure Path modules (assuming, like others, that such a thing will happen).

For the moment I am underwhelmed.

I don't need 4e. I haven't been given any good reason to change. It seems 4e is designed for people who don't like 3.5, without anything so far for those who like 3.5 like me.

I'm staying with 3.5, and actually want to play/run older editions of the game as well (First ed. AD&D, specifically). I do not look forward to 4E - I doubt I will even pick up the core books at this point, which is a change from 3 months ago.

I'll buy 4e on release - if I like it I'll play it, but there are other people round the table as well so we may also still play 3.5, or Traveller, or Cthulhu, or Primetime, or something else, or all of the above.

My 3.0 campaign will wrap up sometime next year, probably. I didn't want the chaos of switching to 3.5 and I'm darned sure not doing the 4E conversion with ~24th level characters.

Odds are my next campaign will be Earthdawn, or maybe Shadowrun 4th. Oh, I'll get 4E but I'm generally tired of the d20 mechanic. I've been running this 3E campaign since about 2 months after the PHB came out, prior to the DMG or MM. I figure 7 years of the mechanic will be enough.
