30 Levels

When Monte add 5 levels to base classes it's fine, when WoTC does it, it's video-game crap ?

Good observation, which goes to prove, everyone's being emotional rather than rational about the topic, at the moment (which is just normal, and has to be accepted by everyone. Then, as time goes on, more reasonable opinions will kick in. Just shaking the crap with a stick isn't going to help anyone, in the meantime).

Is that from us players complaining about the changes or the DND R+D staff hyping the new "features"?

In all honesty, it works both ways: Players who insist on stock disparagements rather than actual reasoned responses, and anything on the part of the R+D that gives the above ammunition, without proper cause.

I just love the announcements from the R+D right now. I realize that they can't/don't want to reveal everything at this point. I just get the sense they're talking out of both sides of their mouths. One side fuels the video game analogy with ideas like now you don't have to recharge in battle....you'll always have something to do....you get a new power at every level....it will be the best ever. Then the other side says we need playtesting.....we're still working out the details....etc.

My approach would have been to tell gamers what the company perceived as problems with the game so that we would have an idea of what the new edition is about. Then they could slowly release the solutions with their upcoming previews.

I've used this phrase before and I'll use it again. I don't need you to sell me the "wonder" in Wonder Bread. I need you to sell me the bread.*
