From ELH, using the ward seed
It is possible to take down the epic ward spell with a disjunction, but if you wanted to hit the caster warded with it also you would have to cast it a second time. So not total immunity, but enough to be able to not fear it very much. This is also not even entirely clear, as the ward seed description says that only targeted dispels or dispel seed/destroy seed epic spells can bring it down. Im going to assume though that disjuction can also. As for the number of epic spell slots, this is from the ELH from the epic spell casting feat (remember slots/day are based on skill ranks) Yes some are going to be arcane and some are going to be divine, but its still basically double the slots assuming you have equal ranks.
Yikes! You mean to tell me that you made a DC 200ish Spellcraft check to cast a long-lasting Ward that keeps out 9th-level spells. I'm already afraid just from that. Then again, its rather easy to have two Disjunctions. That's why I've houseruled that Disjunction works like a Greater Dispel Magic with no level cap on the bonus and the caster of the spell to be dispelled gets to add 1+caster level instead of 11+caster level. It keeps level 17 wizards from having access to magic that will automatically eliminate effects cast by level 40 casters.

Hmm...paleomortis, I can guess to what you are referring in your posts, and it seems like it may be directed at me. If so, could you hit the quote message checkbox?

Not just 9th level spells. With the ward up I was immune to all non-epic spells and spell-like abilities. The check wasnt that high since I opted to take quite a bit of damage when I put it up, but it lasted so long and I had more than enough heal spells to just not care. Yeah, houseruling it is not a bad idea. That spell is pretty silly since melee characters have so much of their power tied up in items and casters have so much of theirs tied up in buffs at the higher levels.

So the DC would be 174 - twice Caster Level (if you maxed out the backlash). That's still pretty hard to make, and it costs around 48,000 xp and over 1 million gold (plus 24 days) to develop. But if you got around all of this, more power to you :D! That's a massively huge price to pay for partial protection from that accursed Disjunction, imo.

It's true it was very expensive. I had also upped the casting time some as well to lower the DC, and I had a nice +spellcraft item (remember +30 is still nonepic). Basically yes it wasnt easy though. The important thing to remember is that it wasn't just immunity to disjunction. It meant most casters would have a very hard time hurting me, though there are some things that still work (e.g. summons). In my experience the most dangerous thing for a high level caster is another high level caster. Disjunction just gimps any melee who is after you too hard.

You are very lucky to have a DM who let you have a nonepic +30 spellcraft item. Frankly, I don't allow any items to add to skills that don't have skill+ items in the core rules. So in my campaign, the only way anyone is getting a magic item that gives a Spellcraft bonus is the 245,400 Epic Rod of the Epic Spellcaster, which is a situational +10 for epic spellcasting only.

I mean, think of how unbalancing a 90,000 GP +30 skill item would be in non-epic play...
