High level combat in 3.5 does feel a lot like 10 minutes of fun stretched over 3 hours ... which is my general comment about baseball.

I dunno, I haven't found an analogy I really like. To me, 3.5 is more rewarding away from the table ... I could certainly pour through every sourcebook hunting for the perfect spells and feats. 4e, however, I find more rewarding at the table ... I still like the hunting for powers and feats, and this will be more fun as more books are released, but I enjoy the tactics of combat more.
