419 scams and others

I got another Nigerian scam yesterday. Unlike the other ones, this guy actually used a semi-reputable email provider (go.com), which I think is owned by the Disney corporation.
It may have originated from a reputable address, but chances are that the account owner didn't send it. I don't mean address spoofing either. Unfortunately, many spammers these days use hacked accounts to do their dirty work. I don't mean spoofing, but actual hacks much like as done with a DDoS attack. :( Still, don't feel bad for reporting the spam to the guy's ISP if he is indeed innocent. Hopefully this will have alerted him to the fact that his system has been compromised.

Let's make a story (or 2) !

Well I actually LOVE 419 hunting. I have a few trophies, and have two “on the hook” right now. So guys, one of them is fresh, so help me make a good story.

It should delay sending money for weeks, but be in short bites (or in other words, many small delays, totaling weeks).

It should be semi-believable. These guys are dumb, but not THAT dumb. I can’t believe the guys are “419 eater” got away with the Cuthulu story! Great!

Any ideas?

Perhaps you are a spy, and need to go incognito? The communists are after you, and you need to lay low for a while?

This "419 eating" sounds like it would be fun, but I just don't need another hobby at the moment.

And where is this Cthulhu story of which you speak? That sounds like fun.
