Finally, we can dump the warlock.

What power source would you give him, though? Divine, maybe? A special one of his own? After all, it has to cover demons, cthulhu and fairy pacts.

Swordmage. I hate and loathe the "grab bag of elemental damage" style of arcanist, and while the wizard is the worst offender in this category, the swordmage at least had a chance to break the shackles of tradition and do something new without enraging the fan base. Its a shame it wasn't taken.

Its the same reason that I'll support the warlock over the other arcane classes. At least it tried.

Quit voting for the only good new class since Bard in 1e, people. Swordmage is awesome. Leave it alone.

What really needs to die is the frakkin' invoker. Boring boring boring terrible and pointless.

Also what the crap when did Bard go? And *why*?

Bard went last round. I assume it went because it was the bard, a class that has had much blind hate since it was created.

There has also been some arguments that leaders in general are not fun, because they lack umpf and people don't care for support roles.

Hopefully, maybe, FINALLY, the Warlock will bite the dust.

I think the reason they've lasted so long proves their sucktitude. Classes like Warlord, for example, people said "hey, that looks fun", played it, and realized it wasn't to their taste.

Warlock, people looked at, said "hey, this class is worse than the ranger in all ways" and ignored it. So, there's no hate built up.

I don't quite understand the leader hate and I'm particularly appaled the bard was voted off.

This totally doesn't reflect the favorites in our 4E group:
In a party of seven we had three leaders: cleric, warlord, and bard. This is especially remarkable since in 3E only one player was ever interested in playing the healer (and he was playing the sole defender in 4E).

For the record, the other classes were: fighter, ranger, barbarian, wizard.

As the DM I was most impressed with the bard who still works well as a jack-of-all-trades and skill-monkey.
