[4e] covaithe's E1: Death's Reach

There the closest thing to dragons...

and hover
and +2 to all defenses
and a flyby attack

but the first thing is that they are the closest thing to a dragon...

Yeah, mechanically, they're far superior to the nightmare (which are actually pretty crappy, they have almost no special abilities), but I love them as mounts.

Question for cov: My mount has a teleport 10, would I 'port with him or just the nightmare? I assumed originally that I would be able to, but just want to confirm.

Everyone looks great and this is shaping up to be a game and threads I watch with interest. I would love to be listed as an alternate, and would consider statting up a character for that, if anyone wanted.

Ah I c, 25k....hmmmm, I could trade the Ring of Premonition in for that. It seems like a pretty good deal. Teleport 10 at will as long as I'm on the mount vs +2 to Init & passive perception with a daily power to not let me be surprised 1/day.

Thanks for the suggestions Cabana!

I'm just starting to update my character formating and such, if anyone has any advice or mechanical changes/mistakes to point out, I would appreciate it greatly.

The concept here is to have a controller who deals with MASSIVE areas. But omits his friends from the destruction. This is mostly accomplished through feats, but careful power selection was also done with the process.

Effect lines, along with area/close blast/bursts, and zones were given top priority in power selection. Status effects such as dazed, dominated, and stunned took precedence when multiple choices presented themselves. Weakened, prone, immobilized, and slowed were given secondary consideration. Single target spells were ignored all together, as it doesn't fit the character concept.

Did I miss anything that would really fit here?

EDIT: What kind of benefits do each of your characters grant my character, and what conditions does he have to meet to get them? I'll make a list of mine while I update the CS for Massacre. Reading through each of your CS I'm finding them...

EDIT2: Covaithe, should I go ahead and roll the rolls for my ritual, or do you want to do that in an IC thread? I may cast a few of these rituals twice if I have the funds for that, and roll poorly the first time through. If everything gets a good roll the first time around though, that would be splendid.

Also some of these guys can do assist rolls for my checks because they are participating in the ritual, that will have to be addressed as well.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling on this so quickly Cov! I've been wanting to play an epic game for a really long time now. (This being my first)

Keep in mind that anyone with a +9 bonus or better at the time of the casting of the ritual will have automatically succeeded on an assist check.

Cov,

I switched out my boots (minor change really), changed boots of striding (+1 to speed when in light/no armour) for Boots of Eagerness that let me have an extra move action 1/encounter. & Switched out my Epic Reflexes for Heavy Blade Mastery. The ability to crit on 19-20 was enough to tempt me to drop my +4 to reflexes (for now). Also, switched out Heavy Blade Opportunity for Weapon Focus (Heavy Blade) as I realized that my at-wills wouldn't really do anything better than my melee basic attack as I can't pull the enemy closer with Thorn Strike as they'd have to be adjacent and they'd already be slowed from my Sudden Roots feat so Weight of Earht wouldn't do anything.

*Hopefully last edit*
