It's my understanding that all things are not necessarily true until observed. Isn't it that all things are possible until observed? In the case of SC, the cat is either alive or dead. It is my understanding that there is a lot of confusion regarding the term "observer." We do not shoot beams of light from our eyes unless I'm horribly mistaken. Also, if we assume that all things are true, then we are assuming multiple worlds, yes? Isn't this like saying, "I have never seen your car. Therefore, you're car is (all colors)."

It works on the quantum level so it requires the isotope. But what you say about the car may be true until you see it or are told what the colour is. I do not know - but you have to remember that a great many people have already observed it before you have.

(Yes, BTW, the cat is supposed to be both alive and dead at the same time. Something to do with collapsing a probability wave function.)

Indeed.

Further food for thought. Are hitpoints particles, or waves? Or ten-dimensional vibrating cosmic strings?

Hmm, does Brian Greene play D&D?

With M Theory it is now 11 dimensions. More the better. I would like one just for me. It has lots of women and money in it. (And lots of zombies so I have something to shoot at when I'm grumpy with all the nagging women.)

Ahh, yes. Nobody knows the value of X. Therefore x has no value.
EDIT: Sorry, all values. But honestly, I don't see the difference.

Watch the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know?" if you don't understand physics.

If you don't understand physics, please don't expect this movie to teach you anything. It's new-age metaphysics dressed up as a science documentary.

Being told by a third party what color the car is (or is not if the car exists at all) would have an impact ? Perhaps they observed it differently than I will (under different lighting, at different velocity, under different humidity, maybe one or both of us has some issue determining some colors)

Actually, the big question many an adventurer has asked themselves as a battleaxe (or, for high-energy theoreticians, a scythe) swung towards them is whether this incoming blow will be a normal hit, that they can probably survive, or a critical hit, that will probably kill them?

This raises the old discussion of Schroedinger's Crit.

This concept exists in quantum physics. See Schroedinger's cat for an example.

This would make a wonky magic item. Schrodinger's Sarcophagus.

"Crap, this cat's dead!"
"Maybe not, throw him in the Sarcophagus!"
[close lid. count to three. open lid.]
"Still dead. And, he's turned into a girl!"
"Close it!"
[close lid. count to three. open lid.]
"OMG! What's that smell! What *is* that... *thing!*"
"Close it, close it, close it! For the love of Pelor, close it!"
[close lid. count to three. open lid.]
"Oh, hey Pat. We, ah, ressurected you, yeah, that's the ticket. Welcome back, you owe us 25,000 gp in diamonds buddy..."
"Wow, I have such a headache. Hey, why am I a Dwarf?"
