I've actually had a homebrew campaign world for magic the gathering. I even had a system in place so that my players could bring certain spells and use them during the game. It was fun to do and I look forward to moving this to 4e.
I will note, Kzach, that the 3e power cards are 3rd-party and fanmade only. Anyway, as long as they stay away from things that practically require players to use cards (i.e. Crusader, the only base class I've ever banned on sight) or... I don't know, all of them get stoned and decide 5th Edition will actually be a hybrid of RPG and CCG with collectible powers on cards... I'm fine with this one. 'Course, I'm an ex-Magic player myself, so.

More seriously, if D&D adopted MtG terminology, I'd be incredibly happy. MtG is really good about avoiding rules ambiguity, and a lot of their terminology is really intuitive.
Hell yeah. For all Magic's sense of naming sucks - and seems to be corrupting 4e D&D - the Magic R&D team consistently delivers well-written and unambiguous rules.
