[4e][Paragon] Kombat Kraziness (closed)

Submitted (or should I say resubmitted) characters so far consist of a dwarven cleric, an elven archer and an eladrin wizard/swordmage.

The other proposed characters, if I remember correctly, were a beastmaster ranger, a tempest fighter and another wizard. Victim was leaning tac. warlord, but while he would absolutely be welcome to join us, I don't know how likely that is. You, originally, had mentioned a tiefling warlock, IG.

No worries WD. I'm fine with new characters, as long as they use books we have access to now. I'm pretty sure we had MP when I started this, as someone was considering a beastmaster ranger.

As to the character builder, can you copy the exe file at work and bring it home?

No, when you start the exe file, it tries to make a connection to the wizards site :(

Questions:

Magic items: No item above our level? But the DMG says one of equal, one 1 below and one 1 above.

Will go with a fighter. What is the consensus about the tempest class feature and powers that require two weapons in regard of double weapons?

I said you can't buy any weapons above your level. You get the "found" items of your level, one up and one down. But with the gold you need to stick with items of 15th or lower. This is really only an issue with the consumables, which are considerably less expensive than the permanent items.

Alright, what about the 2nd question? Double weapon wielding tempest fighters fine?

From the Adventurer's Vault:
"Wielding a double weapon is like wielding a weapon in each hand."

That seems pretty straightforward to me. It counts as two weapons, for tempest powers as much as for anything else. If it's an urgrosh, main hand attacks do d12, off-hand attacks to d8. Otherwise the two are sides do identical damage.

Good it looks like you have enough players. I'm a little over committed, but I would like to stay in the loop for the next fight. My Live group is going back to 3.5 in a few weeks, and I want to keep up with 4e here.
