D&D 4E 4E Play By Post

First Post
Can anybody recommend a good place for 4E play-by-post gaming? Particularly one with combat map features considering how position is so important in 4E, and preferably one that is very frequented/popular so that games run quickly and are easy to find an open game in.

Thanks in advance. :)

Have you checked out the play-by-post forums here on ENWorld? You can find the super-forum here, and recruitment threads are in here (you have to sift a bit). There are some good FAQ's stickied on those forums as well.

Lord S. is quite right, with the server issues being resolved I find this site to be my site of choice, having experimented with a variety of others. None I've seen have combat maps built into the site, but allow for uploading of maps. I plan to use Maptools in my games, which I've seen is quite excellent.

Lord Sessadore and renau1g beat me to it, but let me also mention Living 4th Edition. We're planning a persistant shared PbP world here on EN World for 4th Edition (successful 3.5, Eberron, and supers Living games are already running here). We'd love to have you join our discussions in planning Living 4th Edition! There are links to our group and forum in my sig.

Thank you all for the feedback! I'll get busy looking through the EN World pbp forums.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to check it out!

http://pbpmap.cpm/ http://www.pbpmap.com is a site that offers forums for PBP gaming and also offers a great combat map specifically designed for PBP gaming. There are PBP currently games running using D&D 3.5 and D&D 4.

Edit: Oh almost forgot, it also incorporates a good dice roller on the forums...
